Wood kitchens, a new and modern trend
No longing for the past and no nostalgia with the “Attitude” design! Wood is making a comeback in the kitchen in a very modern way. Modern design, which is warm and in harmony with its surroundings. Breaking through the urban/rustic and contemporary/traditional divides, Arthur Bonnet designs wood in its own manner, creating another way of enjoying your kitchen sensitively, gently and within reach.
«Attitude, says Marc Moreau, its designer, represents the current desire to “re-connect”. What matters are emotions, a certain respect for life’s essentials and simple pleasures.».
A nod to cabinet-making techniques
The choice of wood fell on bright ash, with its light and vibrant grain, which is less predictable than more traditional oak. Solid and reassuring, it is a type of wood with a strong personality, whose unevenness conveys emotion.
Emotion that is reinforced by the choice of a veneer created using a “mix-match” technique. This system restores the wood’s unique and vibrant character and brings out the best of the inlaid effect of the door design: a vertical grain for the sides and in the centre, separated using a barleycorn pattern, a panel where the wood’s grain runs horizontally.
With this door, a tribute to the know-how of Arthur Bonnet, “Attitude” provides a breathtaking and captivating reworking of French cabinet-making tradition.
The originality of metal handles
It is by making the most of the wonderful stainless steel glimmer of recessed handles that the “Attitude” design shows you where to pull. Whilst conjuring up the appeal of handle-free systems, which satisfy even the most contemporary desires, “Attitude” rediscovers the clarity of kitchens with handles. The secret of this successful combination: an original mechanism that is exclusive to Arthur Bonnet, where the design uses a recessed system to preserve the line of the metal along the entire side of the front.
The bases, which are also made from stainless steel, highlight the contrasting materials.
Enjoy your Attitude kitchen
The island layout provides a very successful interpretation of the design. Division of the space, with its easily identifiable work areas, creates a kitchen that truly makes a statement about ergonomics. With its U-shaped design, the island frees up space for an integrated dining area with a wood and white laminate table extending the worktop.
